what this site does with your data (very little)

Privacy, plainly

Written so neither of us needs a lawyer.

ECHO is a one-person desk. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to. The only things stored are things you choose to send.

What we keep

  • Comments you leave on papers: your name (or nickname) and the text of the note.
  • Contact-form messages: your name, your email address so Vicky can reply, and the text of the message.
  • Nothing else. No scroll tracking, no fingerprinting, no marketing lists.

What we do with it

Comments are published on the page under the name you give. Contact messages are read by Vicky and are never published; your email is used only to reply to you. Neither is sold or used for anything else. So that Vicky sees them quickly, new comments and messages are also emailed to her through Resend, an email delivery service. The site runs on Cloudflare, which handles every request and keeps short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses, for security. Fonts are served from this site, so your browser does not contact Google or any other third party.

Corrections and deletions

You can ask to have a comment or message removed at any time. Write to victoria.nyaruwata@gmail.com and it will be done. There is no newsletter, so there is nothing to unsubscribe from.
